Wedding Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar very well. Add 2 tsp water and vanilla. Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts. Chill 4 hours. Shape into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from pan. Slightly cool. Roll in powdered sugar. Makes 3 dozen.
