Tea Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1 c oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 4 1/2 c plain flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1 t cream of tartar
  • 1 c powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first five items and cream well. Sift together next four items and add to the creamed mixture.

Drop rounded spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet, gently flatten out. Bake at 325 degrees fir 15 - 18 minutes. Optional: Roll in powdered sugar.
