Ingredients

  • 1 TBL WHOLE CLOVES
  • 6 CINNAMON STICKS
  • 3 TBL CHOPPED CRYSTAL GINGER
  • 3 3/4 CUP WHITE SUGAR
  • 8 CUPS WATER
  • 8 CUPS ORANGE JUICE
  • 2 CUPS LEMON JUICE
  • 16 CUPS APPLE CIDER

Preparation

Step 1

WRAP THE CLOVES, CINN STICKS AND GINGER IN CHEESE CLOTH AND TIE WITH STRING. IN A SAUCEPAN COMBINE SUGAR, WATER AND SPICE BAG. SIMMER AND STIR UNTIL SUGAR DISSOLVES. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT. BEFORE SERVING, STIR IN THE ORANGE JUICE, LEMON JUICE AND CIDER. HEAT AND SERVE.
