Asian Clams Linguine

Ingredients

  • 2 cans chopped clams, 1/4 cup of liquid reserved
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • cooked linguine to serve 2-4 people

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk together the clam juice, soysauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Add the clams, and marinate 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the linguine. Whisk together the boiling water and cornstarch, then add it to the marinate. Heat the olive oil at medium high, add the clams, cook 2 minutes,then remove clams from pan. Saute the ginger and garlic 30 seconds. Add the marinate, and cook until it thickens. Add the clams, and the red pepper flakes.
