Ingredients
- Sauce
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 3 T olive oil
- 2 1lb cans tomato sauce
- 2 6oz 1 1/3 cups tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 1 T sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 crushed oregano
- 1 T Italian seasoning
- 1 bay leaf
- Italian meatballs
- 1/3 cup dried bread crumbs
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 2 T chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp crushed oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- Dash pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Sauce
Cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender but not brown. Stir in next 9 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf
Meatballs
Combine bread crumbs with remaining ingredients, mixing well. Form in small balls. Brown slowly in 2 T olive oil. Add to sauce and simmer 30 minutes more.
