Ingredients

    cup chopped onion

    1lb cans tomato sauce

    6oz 1 1/3 cups tomato paste

    cup water

  • 1

    T sugar

  • 1 1/2

    tsp salt

  • 1/2

    tsp pepper

  • 1 1/2

    crushed oregano

  • 1

    T Italian seasoning

  • 1

    bay leaf

  • Italian meatballs

  • 1/3

    cup dried bread crumbs

  • 2

    lbs ground beef

  • 2

    eggs

  • 2

    T chopped parsley

  • 1/2

    cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1

    clove garlic minced

  • 1

    tsp crushed oregano

  • 1

    tsp salt

  • Dash pepper

Directions

Sauce Cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender but not brown. Stir in next 9 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf Meatballs Combine bread crumbs with remaining ingredients, mixing well. Form in small balls. Brown slowly in 2 T olive oil. Add to sauce and simmer 30 minutes more.
