Blood orange popsicles

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo blood oranges
  • 3/4 dl (75 ml) sugar
  • 3/4 dl (75 ml) water
  • 1 tsp vodka (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Juice the blood oranges (approximately 400 ml juice). Let sugar and water come to a boil in a sauce pan, let simmer for a minute. Mix 100 ml of the syrup with the blood orange juice. Add vodka and stir. Pour into six popsicle molds and put in the freezer. Let stand 60-90 minutes, then push down a popsicle stick into each ice cream. Freeze for another 3-4 hours.
