Chop Suey

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of celery chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds onion chopped
  • 2 1/2 lbs Chinese beans (sprouts)
  • 1 1/2 lbs pork trimmings
  • 1 Tbs molasses
  • 1 1/2 Tbs Chinese sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Cook celery and onions for 1 1/2 hours. Then add bean sprouts and cook together for another hour. Fry meat and add to the celery mix. Add molasses, Chinese sauce and stir well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mi cornstarch in water then add a little to the Chop Suey to thicken broth.
