  • 1 T. butter
  • 1 square (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 T. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 1/8 t. salt



Step 1

Melt butter, add chocolate and stir over a very low heat until chocolate melts. Add boiling water gradually, stirring constantly until it begins to boil. Add sugar and corn syrup, stirring until all is dissolved.

Simmer 5 minutes. Add vanilla and salt.
