Banana Bread

Lots of times, I've made banana bread and noticed some recipes have had a bitter taste for some reason. I assure you, this recipe does not do that! Make sure the bananas are turning black before using for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sieved ripened bananas (about 3 large)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet or sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted bread flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 350*

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Add milk with lemon juice to sieved bananas and combine with butter and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda toghether and add to wet mixture. Add the nuts and stir only until blended.

Bake until golden, about 1 to 1 1/2 hour. Tester should come clean
