Hard-Baked Eggs

By

This method is supposed to result in "hard boiled" eggs that are especially easy to peel. Of course, it takes longer than boiling eggs, but it's also easier in that you pop them in the oven and forget about it for 30 minutes. Source: the Burlap Bag blog.

Preparation

Step 1

Place the eggs on their side in mini-muffin cup tray, and put them in a 325-350 degree oven.

The oven temperature will depend on the idiosyncrasies of your oven and the size of the eggs, and how well cooked you like them to be. Try one first, as an experiment.

After 30 minutes, immediately put the eggs into a bowl of ice water (which will remove any brown spots that may have appeared after baking), and let them chill for 10 minutes before serving or refrigerating.
