Beef Stir Fry ***

Ingredients

  • 1 pound round steak(cut into strips)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 T oil
  • 4-5 carrots sliced on diagonal
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 1/2 ts sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Steamed Jasmine Rice

Preparation

Step 1

1- Heat oil to 325F. Add steak,cook til browned.
2- Add carrots and soy sauce,stir. Cover, simmer 10 min.
3- Add broccoli, cover and cook 5min, until broccoli is tender.
4-Combine cornstarch, sugar, and beef broth, stir til smooth. Add to meat and vegetables, cook until thickened.
5- Serve over rice.
*note:I often omit the carrots, if you do this, reduce first cook time from 10min to 5min.
