  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 lb bacon

Preparation

This is the time of the year when everyone is looking for appetizer recipes for holiday parties. These Sweet and Spicy Sriracha Bacon Chicken Bites are delicious and easy to make.

and decided to make an appetizer that is perfect for holiday parties. I made these Sweet and Spicy Sriracha Bacon Chicken Bites using

While at the grocery store buying chicken, I noticed this package of individually wrapped Gold’n Plump Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast Fillets. I love this idea because there are many times when only one or two of us want chicken for dinner. With this chicken on hand, I can easily grab the number of boneless skinless chicken breast fillets that I need. I also like that, as stated on the package, this chicken is hand-trimmed and gluten free with no added hormones and no preservatives.

The first step in making the Sweet and Spicy Sriracha Bacon Chicken Bites is to marinate the chicken. Whisk together canola oil, lime juice and

sauce and pour it into a gallon sized plastic bag. Cut the chicken into 1 inch cubes and add to the bag. Once all of the chicken pieces are in the bag, turn the bag to coat the chicken with the marinade and place in the fridge for about 1 hour, turning after half an hour.

the bacon wrapped chicken in brown sugar. Place on a greased broiler rack and pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, rack in the middle position. Open the oven door slightly and broil for the bacon chicken bites until the bacon is crispy, turning the chicken every few of minutes to prevent burning. I broiled these bacon chicken bites on high, rack in the middle position, for a total of 9 minutes and turned the chicken 3 times. Be sure to watch carefully because ovens vary and food can burn quickly while broiling.

Leave the toothpicks in the Sweet and Spicy Sriracha Bacon Chicken Bites and place them on a tray to serve. I just bought this piece of slate on clearance and I love it. It is actually a cheese tray and you will be seeing it often in future photographs!

My family was very impressed with this party food! They loved them just as they were but I thought this bacon wrapped chicken appetizer didn’t have as much heat as I expected. Next time I make them, I am going to brush a little

Bacon wrapped Chicken, wow, makes my mouth water. They look awesome.

Delicious recipe….sriracha makes all the difference!!

Thanks, Tonia – That makes perfect sense!

Also, don’t forget to add Brown Sugar to the ingredient list. Great idea to use a grilling basket. I will let you know how they turn out.

Yes, that is a very important part of the recipe! I’ve added it and thanks for letting me know!

These are definitely not too spicy! They are like a mild BBQ sauce. Next time I will add more spice to mine.

Made these for Xmas and they were amazing!!! Huge hit. I added quite a bit of seasoning to the chicken since you said they were pretty mild and a bit of brown sugar in the marinade. My bacon was a bit too short and falling apart but they still turned out great!!! This is a new family favorite, thank you so much!!!!
