Picadillo

Picadello is a ground beef dish that it served with rice & beans. It can also be used as a stuffing for green peppers, empanadas, ripe plantain boats & tacos.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tbsp canola or vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup finely diced white onion
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 envelope Goya sazon w/cilantro & annatto
- 1 8oz can Goya tomato sauce
- 2 tbs Goya sofrito
- Goya Adobo w/pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a deep pot heat oil, saute onions & garlic, making sure not to burn.
Add ground beef & brown.
Drain most of the grease & add oregano, vinegar, sazon, sofrito & tomato sauce.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low & cover the pot.
Uncover & cook another 15 minutes, stiring occasionally.
Season with Adobo to taste.
