Fabulous Cakes Cinnamon Tea Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°. Prepare one 9" round pan by lining bottom with parchment paper.

Mix together flour, baking powder and salt in bowl.

In another bowl, cream butter with 1/2 cup of sugar. Add egg and vanilla.

Alternately add flour mixture with milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients.

Transfer batter in to pan and spread with small metal spatula.

Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes.

Once cooked, remove from oven and let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Run knife around side of pan to invert cake into rack, remove paper and invert again to serving plate.

Brush top with melted butter. Combine 2 tbsp. of sugar with cinnamon and generously sprinkle on top.
