Ingredients
- 1 (2 1/2 pounds) boneless pork loin sirloin roast
- 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 oven bag (see Note)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Place roast in oven bag then place bag in 9x13-inch baking dish.
In small bowl, combine brown sugar, applesauce, and ginger; mix well.
Spoon over roast; seal bag then cut six 1-inch slits in top. Bake 55 to 60 minutes, or until little pink remains for medium-well, or no pink remains for well-done.
In small bowl, combine cornstarch and water; mix well.
In medium saucepan, combine pan drippings from bag and cornstarch mixture. Cook over high heat 2 to 3 minutes, or until sauce begins to thicken, stirring constantly.
Cut roast into thin slices and serve with sauce spooned over top.
