Smoked Sausage and Potato Hash

Ingredients

  • 1 (1.0 pound package) smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 (medium) onion, chopped
  • 1 (medium) green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 (16.0 ounce package) hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) salt
  • 1/2 (teaspoon) black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet, reserving the drippings. Add the onion and green pepper to the drippings in the skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until tender.

Add hash brown potatoes, salt, and pepper, and cook until potatoes are slightly crisp.
