Ingredients

  • 1/2 CUP BUTTER
  • 1 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
  • 2 WHOLE EGGS, WELL BEATEN
  • 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
  • 1 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
  • 1/2 TEASPOON SALT

Step 1

MIX ALL SIX OF THESE TOGETHER AND BEAT UNTIL SMOOTH. SPREAD IN A WELL GREASED PAN 9X12. THEN, TAKE ONE EGG WHITE BEATEN VERY STIFF. ADD ONE CUP BROWN SUGAR, ONE-HALF CUP CHOPPED NUTS. SPREAD ON MIXTURE. BAKE 25 MINUTES AT 375 DEGREES. CUT IN SQUARES.
