Pizza Sauce and Pizza Assembly

Ingredients

  • 1- 28 oz. can plum tomatoes
  • 1- 14 oz. can plum tomatoes
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 tsp. chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan

Preparation

Step 1

Drain tomatoes and crush with hands. Combine with all other ingredients but do NOT cook.

Brush dough with a thin film of olive oil. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Spoon on pizza sauce. Add Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Add toppings and drizzle small amount of olive oil over pizza.

Thin crust- 375 degrees for 25 minutes
Thick crust- 375 degrees for 30 minutes
