Ingredients

  • 1/2 c softened butter
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c flour
  • 2 tsps cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400F. Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, 1 1/2 c sugar and the eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.

Mix 2 tbsps sugar and the cinnamon; roll balls into mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from baking sheet.
