Amaretto Peach Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. half and half
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • 4 c. whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. Amaretto
  • 1/2-1 tsp. cinammon
  • 4 c. fresh peaches (half--pureed; half--diced)

Preparation

Step 1

Scald milk until bubbles form around edges of pan. Remove from heat. Add sugar and salt until dissolved. Stir in half and half, vanilla, whipping cream, and Amaretto. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Add cinnamon to peaches, then add all to chilled mixture. Refrigerate another 15 minutes. Freeze in ice cream maker.

Can be served with additional Amaretto drizzled over servings.
