Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1/2 C shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 C sour milk
- 1 t soda
- 2 C flour
- 1 1/2 C rhubarb
- 1 t vanilla
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1 t. cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
Sift 1/2 C of the flour over the rhubarb. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg. Beat well. Alternately, add flour, soda and sour milk. Mix in rhubarb and vanilla. Mix 1/2 C sugar and 1 t cinnamon and sprinkle over top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
