Ingredients

  • 6

    Large Green Peppers (12 halves)

  • 2-2 1/2

    lb ground beef

  • 2

    cup cooked rice

  • 1/2 - 3/4

    cup onion

  • 1/2

    tsp salt

  • 1/2

    tsp pepper

  • 1/2

    cup catsup

  • 1

    TBS minced garlic

  • 1

    TBS Worchester

  • 1/2

    tsp thyme

  • 1/2

    tsp basil leaves

  • 2

    cup tomato sauce

  • 2

    tsp sugar

  • 1/4

    tsp cayenne pepper

  • bread crumbs

Directions

Clean peppers and blanch for 3 minutes. Brown ground beef. Mix together ground beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, pepper, catsup, garlic, Worchester, thyme and basil. Fill peppers with mixture. Mix tomato sauce, cayenne pepper and sugar. Top filled peppers with tomato sauce mixture and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake 350 for 25-30 minutes.
