Ingredients
- 4 thinly sliced cucumbers
- 1 large red onion
- Other veggies to try: broccoli, carrots, celery, cauliflower
- 1 table spoon salt
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon celery flakes
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix veggies and salt and set aside.
2. Put vinegar, sugar, celery flakes and pepper flakes in a pot and bring to a boil.
3. Remove from heat and add two handfuls of ice until melted.
4. Place veggies in large mouth canning jar(s)
5. Pour mixture over veggies and store in refrigerator. Liquid must still be fairly warm
6. Will keep up to 2 months
