chicken (baked w/ breadcrumbs)

This recipe is incredibly simple but very good! Was always my kids favorite. It's crispy and great hot out of the oven or cold the next day so I always make extra.

Ingredients

  • 12 drumsticks
  • 1 c italian seasoned bread crumbs (I like progresso)
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 t onion powder
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1/4 t sage (can also use herbs d'Province or Ital Seasoning)
  • Mayonaisse

Preparation

Step 1

Mix breadcrumbs and spices together in a paper or ziploc bag. Add chicken a few pieces as a time to coat. Put chicken in 9x13 glass baking dish. Once all coated, place pan in oven for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Turn oven down to 325 dollop each chicken with a small amount of mayo on each piece of chicken (less than 1 t each). Bake again for 40 minutes at 325.
