Chocolate buttermilk cake

Preparation

Step 1

2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
Mix in sauce pan

2 sticks oleo
4 t cocoa
1 cup of water
Bring to a rapid boil, pour over the flour and sugar and stir until well mixed

1/2 cup butter milk
1t soda
1 t cinnamon
1t vanilla
Mix well and pour into a greased 11x 16 pan that is at least 1/2" thick bake 20 minutes at 400
Begin making icing about 5 minute before cake is done melt together and bring to a boil
1 stick oleo
4t cocoa
6t milk
Remove from heat and add 1 box powdered sugar
1t vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
Beat well with spoon, spread on cake while cake and icing are hot when icing begins to cool cut into squares.
