Ingredients

• 1 c shortening
• 2 c sugar
• 2 eggs
• 4 c flour
• 1 c cocoa
• 2 tsp salt
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1 c sour milk
• 1 c hot water
• 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400F

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs and mix well.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Drop teaspoon size balls on baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.

Allow to cool. Frost flat side of cake with whipped cream frosting then top with another cake to make a sandwhich.
