Steaks with Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 4 steaks
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 jar (4 1/2 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp canola oil
  • 1/2 cup French onion dip
  • 2 Tbsp half and half cream
  • 1/2 tsp minced chives
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. Grill steaks, covered, over meduim heat until meat reaches desired doneness.

In a large skillet, saute mushrooms and garlic in oil for 3 minutes. Stir in the oinion dip, cream, chives, and pepper. Bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 2-3 minutes or until heated through. Serve with steaks.
