HOT FUDGE SUNDAE CAKE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons salad oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1-3/4 cups very hot water
  • 1/2 gallon ice cream

Preparation

Step 1

In ungreased square pan (9 x 9 x 2) stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Pour hot water over this. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove and let stand 15 minutes. Spoon into desert dishes, topping with sauce from the pan. Serve with ice cream and spoon sauce over each serving.
