Ingredients

  • 1

    pound ground chuck

  • ½

    cup soft bread crumbs

  • ½

    cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1

    slightly beaten egg

  • ½

    cup milk

  • 1

    tbsp minced onion

  • 1

    tsp non-sodium glutamate

  • ½

    tsp salt

  • ¼

    tsp pepper

  • 2

    tbsp cooking oil

  • ¼

    cup flour

  • 1

    cup beef bouillon

  • ½

    cup white wine

  • 1

    (3 ounce) can sliced broiled mushrooms

Directions

Combine beef, bread crumbs, cheese, egg, milk, onion, glutamate, salt and pepper. Shape into 12 balls and brown in hot oil. Remove from skillet. Blend flour into pan drippings; stir in bouillon, wine and undrained mushrooms. Remove meat balls to sauce; cover and simmer 30 minutes. Very good over rice.
