Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 t salt
- dash each of black pepper, garlic powder, and ground ginger
- 1 med onion, minced
- 3/4 c grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c minced cooked bacon bits
- 1 red onion cut into large pieces
- 1 green pepper cut into large pieces
- 1 red pepper cut into large pieces
- metal or wooden kabob skewers
Preparation
Step 1
Break apart the ground beef in a large mixing bowl.
Sprinkle the spices onto the beef.
Scatter the cheese, bacon and minced onions on top and completely mix together.
Shape the mixture into small compact meat balls.
If using wooden skewers, have them presoaked to prevent burning.
Alternate the green pepper, red pepper, onion and meatballs on the skewers.
Grill on med heat. Allow meat to set for 8-10 min, run a spatula under meat if needed to rotate.
Brush with a thin steak sauce while its cooking.
Or if you don't want to grill you can broil kabobs in the oven 4-6 in from heat source for 10-15 min or until done.
