Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 6 Tablespoons self-rising flour
- pinch of Kosher salt
- TOPPINGS - frosting, Nutella, sprinkles, fruit, nuts, chocolate chips

Step 1
Whisk together the melted butter and egg, then stir in milk,vanilla, and sugar. Add the flour and salt, and beat batter until smooth.
Divide the batter between 2 mugs, being careful not to fill them more than half-way to avoid overflow.
Microwave each mug separately, beginning at 1-1/2 minutes, then in 15-second intervals (up to 2-1/2 minutes) until the cake has risen and is springy to the touch. The top will not be golden.
