C rolled oats
C whole wheat or soy flour
C dry milk
C unroasted wheat germ
C flax seed, ground
C shelled unroasted sunflower seeds
C grape nuts cereal
Combine in saucepan:
Warm over low heat to blend. Pour over dry mixture, stirring well.
Roast for 45 - 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes at first, then more frequently until particles are golden (not dark) brown. After mixture has cooled, add
C dried cranberries or raisins
C each chopped prunes, dates, dried apricots, coconut (all
C dry-roasted chopped peanuts, or other nuts
Store in tightly covered containers in cool, dry place.
