Bourbon Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, chilled
  • 1 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

We found any style of whiskey did just fine, but bourbon added a nice smokiness to our Bourbon Whipped Cream. As with any whipped cream, it is essential to make sure the cream is well chilled so it will whip properly.

Makes about 2 cups

Whip the cream on medium speed in a chilled bowl.

Let it form soft peaks and then add the bourbon, vanilla, and brown sugar. (NOTE: the original recipe said to combine all ingredients before whipping. I tried this and the cream didn't whip. )
