Aunt Jean’s Pecan Thins

Ingredients

  • 1 C Unsalted Butter – softened
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • ! tsp Vanilla
  • 1 3/4 C unsifted Flour
  • Pecan Halves

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350

In large bowl with electric mixer, beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add flour, beating just until combined.
Drop dough by level measuring teaspoonfuls 2” apart on ungreased cooking sheet.
Press pecan halves lightly In center of each, or chop pecans and sprinkle lightly over each cookie.
Bake 8 – 10 mins. Or just until edges of cookies are golden brown. Let cookies cool 1 minute and then remove to wire racks. Cool completely. Makes 13 dozen
