Poppy Seed Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup poppy sead
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 stiffly beatien egg whites

Preparation

Step 1

Soak poppy seed and milk for 1 hour. Cream butter and sugar. Add milk and poppy seed and vanilla. Add flour and baking powder. Fold in egg whites. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
