Tofu Steak with Mushroom Sauté

Ingredients

  • 1/2 oz "AJINOMOTO TOFU SAUCE"
  • 1/4 cake (approx. 4 oz) tofu (firm)
  • 1/2 oz shiitake mushroom
  • 1/2 oz mushroom
  • 1 Tbsp wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp "AJINOMOTO RICE BRAN OIL"
  • 1/2 inch scallion

Preparation

Step 1

1. Press water out of tofu for 20 to 30 minutes, then cut tofu in half. Sprinkle wheat flour on surface of tofu.
2. Cut the stems off the shiitake mushrooms and slice into halves.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan on med-high heat, and cook tofu until surface becomes firm.
4. Heat "AJINOMOTO RICE BRAN OIL" in another frying pan. Add shiitake mushrooms and mushrooms. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add "AJINOMOTO TOFU SAUCE" and cook for another minute.
5. Arrange with edge-cut scallion on serving plate.
