  • Dough Balls: Filling:
  • 4 Cups flour 1 1/2 lbs walnuts
  • 1 lb butter 1 lb confectioner sugar
  • 6 Egg yolks 6 egg whites
  • 1/2 pint sour cream Juice of 1 lemon

Step 1

Dough Balls: Mix the ingredients for the dough balls together. Make small balls of dough and put on was paper. Refrigerate overnight.

Filling: Put the sugar, egg whites, lemon juice in a mixing bowl and whip until it forms stiff peaks. Grind up the walnuts, and add it to the mix in the bowl.

Roll dough balls out onto a floured surface into flat circles, place 1 or 2 teaspoons of filling into the middle of the circle, roll the dough into a crescent shape. DO NOT overfill them or they will burst open when cooked. Cook at 350 degrees until they turn slightly golden. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
