Details

Preparation

Step 1

1. Press pretzel mixture into 9x13 pan. Bake 10 mins at 350F. Set aside to cool.

2. Beat together sugar and cream cheese. Add Cool Whip and spread on cooled pretzel crust. Cool in the fridge. Dissolve Jello in 2 cups boiling water. Add frozen strawberries with juice. Refrigerate till slightly jelled. Pour Jello mixture over white layer after it begins to set. Refrigerate.

3. Cooks note: I found the sweetened frozen strawberries a bit hard to find. Start your search early or be prepared to get regular frozen or fresh and sweeten them yourself. The frozen part is essential for the jelling purposes, but I guess any substitution that is not frozen would merely lengthen the chilling time.
