Banana- Sour Cream Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 Pkg. ( 2- Layer size ) Yellow Cake Mix
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 C. ( about 3 ) Ripe Bananas, mashed
  • 1 C. Sour Cream
  • 1/4 C. Oil
  • 1 Pkg. ( 250 g ) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 C. Butter, softened
  • 4 C. Icing Sugar
  • 1 C. Walnut Pieces, finely chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Beat cake mix, eggs, bananas, sour cream & oil with mixer on low till moistened, scraping bottom of bowl often. Beat on med. 2 min. Pour into greased & floured 13x9-in. pan. Bake 35 min. or till toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Beat cream cheese & butter with mixer on med. till blended. Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition. Remove cake from pan. Carefully cut cake crosswise in half using serrated knife. Place 1 cake half, top-side down, on plate; spread top with frosting. Top with remaining cake half, top-side up. Frost top & sides. Press nuts onto sides. Sprinkle top with additional chopped nuts. Refrigerate leftovers.
