Meyer Lemon and Basil Fizz

Ingredients

• 2 slices Meyer lemon
• 4 to 6 fresh basil leaves, plus more for garnish
• 4 ounces vodka
• Ice
• 6 ounces good-quality Italian orange soda

Preparation

Step 1

In a pint glass, muddle the lemon slices with the basil. Add the vodka and stir. Strain into 2 rocks glasses filled with ice, and top with orange soda. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve.

Cook's Note: If Meyer lemons are not available, substitute 1 slice orange and 1 slice lemon.
