Baked Mac & Cheese
This baked mac & cheese is a favorite amongst the kiddos and adults alike. You might consider doubling the recipe - it goes quick!
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon season salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation time 10mins
Cooking time 47mins
Heat oven to 350°F.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
While pasta is cooking, melt butter in Dutch oven pot.
Slowly stir in flour, season salt, mustard, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Slowly add milk, while whisking to form a sauce.
Stir in cheese until melted.
Add pasta to pot, mixing well, then pour into 9x9-inch pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until bubbly and top is beginning to brown.
