Au Jus

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1 TBS beef paste concentrate
  • 2 TBS dry red wine
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp fresh oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 stalk celery quartered
  • 1/2 white onion coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 carrot peeled and coarsely chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Pour water into sauce pan and dissolve 1 TBS of beef paste in water. Mix in the red wine, thyme, oregano and garlic powder. Add celery onion and carrot pieces to sauce. Bring mixture to a boil and cook, stirring often until sauce is reduced by half 20-30 minutes. Stain sauce and discard veggies
