Coconut Peaks

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 2 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 6-oz. package semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/4 c. light cream
  • 3 c. packaged flaked coconut
  • 3 t. shortening

Preparation

Step 1

In a saucepan, heat margarine until golden. Gradually stir in sugar, light cream and coconut. Drop by teaspoons full onto waxed paper. Cool. Shape into peaks, then refrigerate. Melt chocolate with the shortening over hot water. Stir until smooth. Dip bottom of each peak into chocolate. Refrigerate.
