Ingredients
- 8 oz Ground Almonds, or hazelnuts
- 8 oz Sugar
- 8 oz Butter
- 8 oz Plain Flour
- Seeds of Half a Vanilla Pod or Some Grated Orange Peel
- 6 oz Black Chocolate
Preparation
Step 1
Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add almonds/hazelnuts and orange peel/vanilla seeds and beat again. Then add flour and thoroughly mix it in by hand until batter is smooth. Break off cherry-sized pieces of dough, roll them into neat balls, and lay them on baking-tray lined with non-stick baking-paper.
Bake them at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are golden-brown. Let them cool on rack while you melt chocolate. When they are completely cool, dip flat side in melted chocolate and sandwich them together.
