Preparation

Step 1

* Combine all ingredients and heat in microwave until sugar dissolves
* Place ham fat side up in an air tight roaster, or cover with foil in a larger baking dish (comment below with crock pot instruction)
* Pour marinade over ham
* Bake at 225 degrees for 8-10 hours.
* Baste several times during cooking time – every time you walk in the kitchen use a ladle or something and dump the juice over the ham a couple times

The juice will be runny, and it is delicious served over the sliced ham.
Now here is the comment from Bret on their experience of cooking it in the slow-cooker:

“I fixed the Ham today. Oh my G-d! That was great. We used a large crock pot and placed a 7.5 pound Butt Portion in the bottom. The Marinade was poured over the top and the timer was set for9 hours. The ham was basted 15 or so timed during the cooking times. The results were exquisite and family was asking for the recipe’ which has now been shared!”
