Ingredients
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 1/4 cup sugar, divided
- Pinch of salt
- 4 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
Preparation
Step 1
PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees.
COMBINE milk, flour, 1 cup sugar and salt in a medium bowl. Stir to combine. In another medium bowl, combine the strawberries and the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves.
POUR 1/2 of the milk/flour mixture into the bottom of a 5-cup baking dish. Add the fruit and top with the remaining milk/flour mixture. Bake 50 to 60 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
