Saltine Crunch Bars

Yes, these fabulous chocolately, nutty, buttery bars are made with saltines!

Ingredients
- Saltine crackers (appx 35)
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 pkg (8 squares) semi-sweet baking chololate, chopped
- 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place saltines, salt-side down, in a single layer on a foil-lined 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
Place butter & sugar in saucepan. Cook on medium-high heat until butter is completey melted and mixture is WELL BLENDED, stirring occasionally. Bring to a boil; boil 3 minutes without stirring. Spread over crackers.
Bake 5-7 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Immediately sprinkle with chopped chocolate; let stand 5 minutes or until chocolate is softened. Spread chocolate evenly over ingredients in pan; sprinkle with nuts.
Cool. Break into pieces.
