Almond Crust Bundt Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 T grated lemon peel
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 t. almond extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat to 350F. Using 1/3 cup of margarine, heavily grease pan. Press sliced almonds into margarine and sprinkle pan evenly with 1 T sugar. In large bowl combine all remaining ingredients and beat for 5 mins. at medium speed. Pour into pan. Bake 50-55 mins. Cool in pan for 20 mins. Turn out and finish cooling on wire rack.
