Orange Creamsicle Cookies
By srumbel
These cookies are so soft and flavorful! Geoff and I agreed that they taste just like a creamsicle. I love the contrast of the orange zest with the white chocolate chips. Yum!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon orange extract
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375. Line two baking sheets with parchment or spray with cooking spray. In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla, and orange zest, and mix until combined. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop rounded scoops of dough onto the prepared pans (I used a cookie scoop to make them more uniform. Bake 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned on the bottom.
